Alianza Seeking Donations to attend UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Rights Apr. 18-25

Please Help! Alianza Seeking Donations to attend UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Rights Apr. 18-25

Please SUPPORT THE ALIANZA INDIGENA SIN FRONTERAS & JOIN THE SOUTHERN INDIGENOUS BORDER RIGHTS & JUSTICE MOVEMENT

The Alianza Indigena Sin Fronteras is seeking donations to attend the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Rights on April 18 through April 25, 2008.

The Alianza Indigena created in 1997 to promote respect and protection for Indigenous Rights and to be an international voice for promoting the rights of passage and mobility of our traditional southern border Indigenous Peoples and general Indigenous communities on both sides of the European-imposed U.S.-Mexico border.

The Alianza Indigena is working closely with individual members of various southern Indigenous border nations in Arizona and in Mexico in providing technical assistance and coordinating strategy meetings on how to address U.S. Homeland Security officials’ treatment of Indigenous peoples, border crossing and environmental issues. Our goals and objectives in attending the UN Nation’s Permanent Forum on Indigenous Rights is to muster support at the UN level for Southern Indigenous human/civil rights, border crossing, border justice and bring attention to how the anti-immigrant legislation and border enforcement policies have affected Southern Indigenous Peoples on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border.

We need your financial support and assistance to send two Alianza Indigena members to New York City to UN Permanent Forum on the Rights of Peoples on April 18 through April 25, 2008 by making a tax deductible donation of any amount up to $50.00 or more in our endeavors to promote the work of the Alianza Indigena Sin Fronteras and Southern Indigenous human/civil rights, border rights, environmental protection and border justice.

Through your cooperation and financial support you will strengthen the voice of the Southern Indigenous grassroots community and bring attention to the plight and treatment of Indigenous peoples in the U.S.-Mexico border due to ineffective, lethal anti-immigrant and border enforcement policies.

Please checks payable to Seventh Generation Fund/Alianza Indigena Sin Fronteras - P.O. 826-Tucson, Arizona 85701

Thank you for your interest, cooperation and support.

Sincerely,

Jose R. Matus
